The best way to organize the piece is to start with a brief set-up that hooks the reader. Draw them in with a strong headline that emphasizes your central message. A catchy title will help sell your piece and allow readers to grasp your ideas quickly. Then organize the rest in segments.
Writing for the web is different from writing for print. Your information will be posted to the e-newsletter starting with the header, followed by two to three short sentences that entice the medical staff to read your article. The most important part of your article is this short taste of your information, without giving too much away. This is also the same sentence that begins your main submission.
Text of your main submission:
Tell the medical staff members why they should care about the information. You need to grab their attention in the first line. Get to the point and convince them that reading your article is worth the effort.
